Bio
Sarah was born on May 31st in the small town of Nutley, NJ. Nutley is located only 12 miles outside New York City which definitely influenced and inspired Sarahs love for the entertainment field. As a young girl Sarah was always full of energy and so her parents signed her up for every extra curricular activity; from dance at 3 years old, to playing instruments, and all of the sports. Sarah's Dad's motto was, "I do not want you cheering for the sports, I want you playing them!" And thats exactly what she has been doing since. She is a natural born performer, ready to take on any role.
Growing up she was constantly taking dance class at the Locker School of Dance, auditioning in Manhattan, working in off broadway shows, and also performing at Lincoln Center and Carnegie hall with the New Jersey State Choir. The choir taught her about the craft of singing, working as an ensemble, and the discipline it takes to become successful. With that group, under the direction of Lourdes Armada, they also toured Europe performing in Vienna and Salzburg, Austria and Prague, Czech Republic.
She continued to grow as a young performer when she started to focus on Musical Theater. Sarah was constantly in classes and shows at the John Harms Theater in Englewood NJ from elementary school until high school. She was taught and directed by Cathy Roy, who has been Sarahs mentor ever since. Sarah was always on stage, whether it was at professional theaters in the area (NJPAC, PNC Bank Arts Center), or starring in multiple high school productions where she recieved such awards as the Rising Star Scholarship from the Papermill Playhouse. Her junior year she was proud to be accepted to NYU Cap 21 for the Summer Intensive.
Sarah left Nutley High School (other famous alumni includes Martha Stewart) to further her education at the University of Miami. GO CANES! She studied under such amazing teachers as Vince Cardinal, Kate Johnson, Bruce Miller, Jen Vellenga, Bruce Lecure, and Michael Barnes. She graduated with her BFA in Musical Theater.
Since then she has become a working actress in NYC and proud member of SAG, AFTRA, and AEA. She has worked regionally in multiple productions of 42nd Street (Peggy Sawyer and Anytime Annie), Cats (Sillibub), Guys and Dolls (Sarah Brown), Grease (Sandy), and several others. Sarah has also participated in readings such as Walmartopia at Playwrights Horizon. She has modeled for Biotherm and Kett Cosmetics HD Make-up, worked commercially with Toyota and 100% cotton and has become a very successful Spokemodel for such companies as Mattel, Pepsi, Dewars and many others. Sarah has also found success with shoe modeling working with such high end companies as BCBG MaxAzria, Nine West, Anne Klein, and Pink/Victoria Secret. Some of her television credits include work on the Late Show with David Letterman, All my Children, Knights of Prosperity, and a Spike TV pilot. Sarah was also cast in a new Disney movie Sorcerers Apprentice with Nicholas Cage, Hot tub Time Machine, and Morning Glory.
Sarah has been enjoying her journey and loves everything that comes with it; the constant excitement of what's next, who she is going to meet and perform with, and having the opportunity to experience all of this with everyone she loves and who have constantly supported her. So, now she is on her next adventure and ready to take on the West Coast!
